Our Favorite DIY Hair Conditioner for Hair Growth

Customized Essential Oil Conditioner

This conditioner is great because you can tailor it to your hair care needs. Like the shampoo, the conditioner is best stored in a glass bottle. One batch will make enough for 20 to 30 applications.

Making the Conditioner

What You’ll Need

1 c. water

2 T. apple cider vinegar

10 drops therapeutic grade essential oil

For oily hair use lemon or tea tree oil

For dry hair or dandruff use lavender or sandalwood essential oil

For general daily use, use rosemary or sage essential oil

Glass bowl

Wooden spoon

Funnel

Bottle of your choosing

Step 1: Combine all of the ingredients in the bowl.

Step 2: Mix well with the wooden spoon. You want the entire mixture to be even in color and smooth.

Step 3: Use a funnel to pour the finished conditioner into the bottle.

Using the Conditioner

Step 1: Shake the bottle well until the conditioner is mixed.

Step 2: Wet your hair well and then ring out excess water.

Step 3: Apply a dime to nickel-sized amount of conditioner to your hand.

Step 4: Work the conditioner through your hair, applying from root to tip.

Step 5: Allow the conditioner to rest for at least 5 minutes.

Step 6: Rinse well.
